Pierson Bark Park strives to provide a fun, safe environment for you and your dog(s). By using this park you agree that you understand and assume all responsibility and liability for the risks of unleashing your dog(s) in this facility. Pierson Bark Park is not a supervised facility, therefore users are required to abide by the rules and etiquette at all times while on the premises. Guardians and individuals accompanying them use the facility entirely at their own risk and that of their dog(s). The future of this area depends on members behaving responsibly and obeying all the rules. Canine, human members and visitors of Pierson Bark Park are expected to behave with common courtesy and respect for the property as well as the park users.
We realize guardian socialization is a great added value to the park, but please remember that your first priority is the proper supervision of your dog(s).
• Please do not allow non-members (dogs) in the gate with your key card.
Your card may be revoked, and non-members may be ticketed. This will be enforced.
• Children under 10 years of age are not permitted in the park unless
they are very young and attached to parents in a snuggly or front/back pack.
No running or chasing by older children.
• Dogs must not be left unattended or out of sight range. Supervise
your dog(s) as they move around the park.
• Please clean up after your dog(s). The necessary supplies are provided
for you. Seal the waste in the bag before disposing of it in the dog waste
container.
• Please help by picking up orphan poops to keep the park clean and
disease free.
• Digging is not permitted. Guardians must try to fill in any holes
their dogs may dig in the park.
• Vaccination records including Bordetella/Kennel Cough, Rabies, Parvo,
and Distemper are required. Your key card will not work if shots expire, so
bring in updated records when they expire.
• Dogs should receive year round heart worm prevention treatment and
flea prevention treatment.
• Maximum of 3 dogs per guardian at one time, unless there is another
adult accompanying you. You may purchase more than 3 annual passes.
• Female dogs in season/heat are not permitted in the park.
• Dogs are encouraged to swim in the pond when it is open. Absolutely
no humans are permitted in the pond. It is for dogs only. Swimming is not
permitted if ice is visible, and dogs are to be keep away from pond.
• Dogs known to exhibit vicious, fierce, aggressive, or dangerous behavior
are not permitted at any time in the park.
• Please do not smoke or eat while in the park. Cigarette butts and
food wrappers are tempting and unhealthy for dogs. Glass containers are not
permitted in the park.
• Food in bowls or long lasting chews for dogs are not permitted. Small
bite sized training treats are allowed. Water will be provided for the dogs
during spring, summer and fall. The park is still open in the winter.
• Frisbee, balls and retrieval toys are allowed and encouraged, but
be prepared to share with other park visitors (petty theft problem).
• Guardians must carry a leash. If it is necessary to leash your dog
due to a behavior problem, please exit the park promptly.
• Choke or prong collars are not permitted in the park. They can snag
on trees, fencing or park furniture, as well as on another dog’s mouth.
• All dogs must bear permanent ID (collar tag or microchip).
• Dogs, guardians, or anyone creating a disturbance or violating posted
rules must leave the park if requested by law enforcement personnel or park
personnel.
• Do not allow your dogs to harm humans, other pets, or wildlife.
• Dogs are to be leashed before entering and leaving the fenced in area.
• Pit bulls/Staffordshire bull terriers must be professionally temperament
tested before entering the park. Documentation is required.
• Please discourage your dog(s) from standing at or near the gate as
people are trying to enter.
• Most of all... Have fun!
The Piersons reserve the right to close the park at any time for maintenance.
